The Mother, The Father

Deity of Birthing, Deity of Generosity, Deity of Caregivers and Nurturing

Eryn represents the belief in caring for the young, the sick, and the old. Those who acknowledge The Mother believe all good-hearted individuals deserve a warm meal and a warm bed at the end of each day. It is the responsibility of the many to care for the few, for one day it may be the many who are sick, or feeble, or aged. Eryn’s names are whispered in thanks at every meal, and over the wounded and ill who will not journey to meet The Shepard. The Mother is also invoked by expectant mothers and anxious fathers, hopeful that their child will survive the birthing, and hoping that so too will the mother.

Favored Weapon: Quarterstaff  (For a staff can pluck fruit from a tree, herd an animal or small child, be an aid to the old and the weary, and still bruise the unruly, the unkind, and the unjust)

Dogma: Give your seat at the table, your place by the fire, and your bed in your home to those more in need. Seek to protect the young, aid the injured, cure the ill, and comfort the old. Always seek to forgive before judging, and to forget before condemning.
