Naas

The Caretaker, The Shepard

Deity of Dead Men, Deity of the Final Journey, Deity of Magic

Naas represents the journey of the soul in the afterlife. Naas is neither feared nor welcomed, but simply acknowleged as the guide for the dead. The Caretaker is often revered in whispers and at wakes, asked to care for those fallen in battle, lost to illness, and embraced by old age. Before The Fracturing, Naas was also recognized as patron of the magi, and any who pursued the arcane arts. Following The Fracturing, and the failure of casters to command their former power, The Shepard is now rarely remembered for that connection.

Symbol: A grave marker covered with flowering ivy

Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Domains: Death, Magic

Favored Weapon: Net (For it guides the fish for the fisherman, but allows the swift water to continue to flow)

Dogma: Tend the dying, condemn not the death. Lay to rest the dead, seek neither justice nor vengeance for the fallen. Comfort the living for the dead need no comfort. If by divine or arcane means the dead live again, then bless them so they may walk under no shadow of doubt or fear.
